In Maribor, Slovenia, stands the Old Vine House, deeply rooted in history and tradition. As home to the world’s oldest grapevine, the Žametovka vine, it represents over 400 years of Slovenian winemaking heritage. The vine’s roots not only connect it to the fertile soil of the region but also to a legacy of craftsmanship and resilience. This inspired the recent renovation, led by architect Stojan Skalicky of Arhisol.
