Step inside Theatre Geert Teis, and you’re greeted by a dramatic red hue. The deep red walls evoke the classic velvet curtains of a theatre stage—a timeless symbol of anticipation and spectacle. This red glow flows through the building like an unseen thread, uniting its spaces in a warm, theatrical embrace. Lichtpunt chose Dea Carmenta and Dea Amata to bring this vision to life, ensuring every detail of the lighting design complements the theatre’s aesthetic.

Here, our Dea Carmenta adjustable spots and Dea Amata fixed downlights, with their sleek aluminum die-cast housing and a choice of reflective finishes, were the perfect fit. These luminaires were tailored with warm dimming technology, allowing the light to transition seamlessly from vibrant to intimate—ideal for the diverse settings of a theatre.
The light ensemble: theater lighting.
Dea Amata XS luminaires were used with an 18° beam angle, black housing, and golden reflectors, all controlled via Casambi. These small spots create focused accents, enhancing the audience’s experience. For broader lighting, Dea Amata M luminaires were installed with a 40° beam angle, in black with gold and completely white versions, blending seamlessly with the architecture.Dea Carmenta adjustable luminaires, with their 40° beam angle and black housing paired with golden reflectors, brought the red walls to life. Their dim-to-warm technology allows dynamic lighting scenes, perfectly capturing the theatrical experience.
