Dea Fauna S duo

Flexible duo.

Karizma Luce Dea Fauna S duo is a compact surface-mounted downlight with two square, independently adjustable heads. Each features a 25° tilt and 355° rotation, offering flexibility and control in refined residential and hospitality settings. It is ideal for hotel room entrances, showrooms, residential villas, corridors, or compact entry areas—spaces where light must be functional and expressive.

Each head delivers up to 960lm through a 40° medium beam, ensuring soft, glare-controlled illumination with high visual comfort. The Dea Fauna S duo is available in black or white housing, with reflector finishes in gold, silver, chrome, white, copper, glossy black, or matt black. Control options include on/off, phase cut, or DALI. Except for standard CCT, it is also offered in dim-to-warm to enhance welcoming and well-composed interiors. Select the version that suits your concept—and enjoy lighting that adapts with purpose.

The design and development of Karizma Luce lighting fixtures

How we approach lighting product development

At Karizma Luce, we treat luminaire development as a structured and collaborative process. It involves deliberate steps across multiple disciplines — optical, mechanical, electronic, and thermal. From concept to final product, each phase aims to deliver performance, reliability, and visual clarity.

From concept to beam control — industrial and optical design

We begin with industrial design. This phase defines the geometry, ceiling integration, and how the luminaire should behave in architectural space. Every visual decision supports technical intent. At the same time, we explore the optical design. We select reflector or lens systems depending on the desired beam shape and application. Beam angles, cut-off control, and glare management are all defined at this stage to ensure comfort and precision.

Thermal, electronic and mechanical design

After the optical path is defined, we evaluate heat transfer through thermal design. Using simulation, we predict how the fixture cools over time and adjust volume and material accordingly. This keeps stable performance throughout the product’s lifespan. Alongside this, we handle the electronic design. We choose LED modules and drivers based on output, efficiency, dimming compatibility, and lifetime expectations. All parts are then integrated during the mechanical design process, which defines the internal structure, fixing points, tolerances, and wiring.

Testing performance through prototyping

Once digital design files are ready, we move into prototyping. We create early units using CNC machining and 3D printing. These allow us to test optics, cooling, handling, and ease of installation. For Dea Fauna S duo — a rectangular surface-mounted luminaire with two adjustable heads — mechanical testing was especially important. We assessed how the total fixture weight interacts with the magnetic mounting system. We checked the movement of each head and how the hinges behave over time. Every adjustment had to feel precise and hold its position without effort.

Tooling, documentation, and compliance

After confirming performance, we prepare the tooling design for die-cast, extruded, or machined parts, depending on the specific project requirements. Once we produce the first tooling samples, we evaluate surface finish, tolerances, and mechanical fit. Next comes the pre-production batch, which allows us to finalise all technical documentation. At this point, we also complete all necessary materials, including internal assembly manuals for production, installation manuals, technical datasheets, and .ldt files for simulation tools such as DIALux or RELUX.

At this point, we also handle CE declarations and relevant certifications, whether in-house or through external testing laboratories. That way, each luminaire meets market-specific requirements with confidence.

Sustainable packaging and careful release

Even the packaging we design with intention, using sustainable, recyclable materials where possible and minimising unnecessary volume. The goal is to protect the product during transport while minimising the footprint, but not to overdesign it. Because what matters is inside.

When the product is ready, tested, certified, documented, and aligned across all components, it moves into serial production. Only then does it join our portfolio and become available to you.

Dea Fauna S duo, like all Karizma Luce luminaires, is designed and assembled in the Netherlands. We take that responsibility seriously. Nothing is rushed. Every decision is intentional. With the aim of giving you the highest quality and reliable luminaire made by Karizma Luce.
