Dea Fauna M

Flexible direction.

Karizma Luce Dea Fauna M is a medium-sized surface-mounted downlight with a square body, 25° tilt, and 355° rotation. Designed to be seen, it adds geometric clarity and purpose to hospitality and residential interiors. It fits perfectly in hotel corridors, restrooms, entrances, or residential kitchens, hallways, and living areas—where lighting supports atmosphere and architecture.

The luminaire delivers up to 1300lm through a 40° medium beam, offering soft, glare-controlled illumination with high visual comfort. Dea Fauna M is available in black or white housing, with reflector finishes in gold, silver, chrome, white, copper, glossy black, or matt black. Control options include on/off, phase cut, or DALI. Except for standard CCT, it is also offered in dim-to-warm for a more refined lighting experience. Choose the version that suits your vision—and let the square form bring light with precision.

How to create structured lighting in large spaces with adjustable luminaires?

Lighting large rooms is not only about high lumen output — it is also about control, direction, and structure. Adjustable surface-mounted luminaires like Dea Fauna M are therefore a key tool in lighting design for retail, hospitality, galleries, or modern office spaces.

In fact, a structured lighting plan always starts with positioning. Surface-mounted luminaires should follow the logic of the space, aligned with furniture, architectural axes, or circulation paths. This ensures visual consistency and functional comfort.

Dea Fauna M offers a 40° beam angle as standard, delivering up to 1300Lm. This version provides wide, soft general lighting — ideal for uniform illumination. However, for more focused lighting, a 24° beam angle is available. While the total luminous flux is lower (up to 900Lm), the intensity is higher, making it perfect for accent lighting or creating light contrasts.

Lighting designers often combine both versions to create a balanced effect in large rooms. The wider beam ensures comfortable ambient lighting, while the narrower beam adds visual interest or highlights specific areas.

Recommended positioning

For general lighting, adjustable surface-mounted luminaires should be installed in rows or grids. The typical distance between luminaires is 1.5 to 2 times the ceiling height. For example, at 3m ceiling height, spacing would be 4.5m to 6m for general lighting. Of course, this can vary depending on the beam angle and required light levels.

For accent lighting near walls or displays, luminaires should be installed 0.8m to 1m from the vertical surface. This positioning helps to create an effective accent effect while avoiding unwanted glare.

Square luminaires like Dea Fauna M naturally support structured ceiling layouts. Their geometry is ideal for strict grids or architectural ceiling concepts where visual order is essential.
