Caro SF

Karizma Luce Caro SF is a surface-mounted cylindrical spotlight that combines compact design with extremely high efficiency. With a 40mm diameter, it integrates easily into galleries, shops, museums, restaurants, and hospitality spaces, offering a strong architectural look where ceiling-mounted flexibility is needed without compromising light performance.

The luminaire delivers up to 2000lm and is available in single CCT or dim-to-warm. Beam angles of 12°, 25°, 35°, 45°, and 60° provide fine control for accents or general light. Caro SF is available in black or white and supports on/off, phase-cut, or DALI drivers. Optional accessories include a standard, copper, or gold finish snoot, a honeycomb filter, and clear or frosted glass. A powerful spotlight with clarity, purpose, and surface-mounted elegance.

Honeycombs are widely used to reduce direct glare. Luminaires with honeycombs have usually a tighter beam.

Why is Step MacAdam essential in professional lighting, and what are Caro SF’s options?

Step MacAdam — or SDCM (Standard Deviation of Colour Matching) — defines colour consistency in LED lighting. It measures how much variation in colour temperature (CCT) may appear between different LEDs or production batches.

The smaller the MacAdam Step value, the better the colour uniformity. One Step MacAdam is almost invisible to the human eye. At 2 or 3 steps, only trained lighting professionals may notice a slight variation. However, with 4 or 5 steps, visible differences in white tones often occur, especially when luminaires are installed next to each other.

Lighting designers apply different MacAdam Step standards depending on the application:

1–2 Step MacAdam — premium retail, galleries, museums, luxury hospitality
3 Step MacAdam — professional retail, offices, restaurants, hotels (Karizma Luce standard)
4+ Step MacAdam — technical lighting, outdoor, utility areas
