Artemis S

Scenic beam.

Karizma Luce Artemis S is a miniature spotlight designed for subtle yet precise outdoor accents. With its 38mm diameter and minimal form, it softly highlights plants, small sculptures, or textured surfaces. Ideal for terraces, boutique gardens, or compact architectural features, it brings atmosphere with quiet refinement.

The 24V DC luminaire delivers up to 200lm and offers beam angles of 15°, 24°, and 36°, with two single CCT options: 2700K and 3000K. It is IP66-rated for outdoor durability and performs reliably in various weather and ambient temperatures. The fixture must be connected to an AC/DC converter, a constant voltage driver that supports multiple units. The driver is not part of the luminaire. The DALI version of the constant voltage driver enables the simultaneous dimming of all connected luminaires. Artemis S can also be equipped with accessories such as a ground plug, pole, tree strap, or anti-glare hood — delivering discreet performance with architectural precision.

How to reduce glare in garden lighting without sacrificing the effect

Visual comfort starts with precision

In outdoor lighting, brightness alone isn’t enough. A beautifully lit tree or wall can lose its effect if glare distracts from the scene. Glare occurs when the light source is too exposed, misaligned, or overpowered for the environment. With Artemis S, designers can create precise, powerful lighting effects while maintaining visual comfort.

Low mounting, soft tilt

The most effective way to reduce glare is through careful positioning. Mount Artemis S close to the ground, angled upward so the beam lands exactly where needed—whether on a trunk, foliage, or surface. Avoid aiming directly toward paths, windows, or seating areas, where the light source may become visible and cause discomfort.

With beam angles of 24° and 36°, Artemis S allows for flexible lighting of vertical features without excessive spill. Narrower beams concentrate the light, while wider beams soften transitions across more expansive canopies or façades. In glare-sensitive areas, choosing a warmer colour temperature, like 2700K, helps avoid harsh, clinical tones that strain the eye.

Add accessories when needed

Additional shielding is sometimes necessary when people are seated nearby or walking past. The optional Artemis S antiglare hood helps block direct view of the light source while preserving the beam shape and intensity. It’s instrumental in hospitality terraces, garden paths, and residential courtyards.

Reducing glare is not about dimming the effect—it’s about controlling it. Artemis S gives lighting designers the tools to highlight outdoor scenes with clarity, not intrusion.
